"From 9 to Infinity: The Art of Multiplying by Numbers Like 9, 99, 999 and so on........"

Image
Hi friends, in this blog we will learn how to multiply numbers having the series of 9, 99, 999, 9999 and so on. In this vlog we will use "Ekanyunena Purvena" technique of Vedic mathematics. This will simplify the process of complex traditional method of multiplication and you will be able to perform the complex multiplication by just looking at the numbers.    "Ekanyunena Purvena" is an important Sanskrit term in Vedic mathematics, meaning "By one less than the previous one." This is often used in problems where numbers like 9, 99, 999, etc., are involved, and it refers to a method for simplifying multiplication by working with the number just less than the given number (e.g., 8 for 9, 98 for 99, 998 for 999).       We can simply do the problem such as a X 9, ab X 99, abc X 999, abcd X 9999, a X 99, abcde X 99, abc X 99999 and beyond, quickly without any delay.  Lets start with some simple examples such as 777 X 999, 77 X 99 and 7 X 9, 7...

"The 16 Sutras and 13 Sub-Sutras: Key Concepts in Vedic Mathematics"

Image
Hi folks, As we all know that Vedic Maths is a system of mathematics that originates from the ancient Indian scriptures known as the Vedas , particularly the Atharvaveda . It was revived and systematized by Sri Bharati Krishna Tirthaji in the early 20th century. Vedic Maths is based on 16 Sutras (formulas) and 13 Sub-Sutras (sub-formulas), which provide simple, fast, and efficient methods to solve mathematical problems. These techniques can be applied to a variety of areas such as arithmetic, algebra, geometry and calculus.                The 16 Sutras (formulas) of Vedic Maths are concise and powerful techniques that can be applied to various mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and algebra. These Sutras provide shortcuts that simplify traditional methods and allow for faster calculations. Here’s a list of the 16 Sutras : 1. N...

Vedic Maths in the 21st Century: A Time-Tested Solution for Modern Problems

Image
Vedic mathematics formulas are a part of our tradition of mathematical calculations derived from the ancient Vedas. When we neither had calculators nor computers to do mathematical calculations, these mathematical formulas were used by our sages to speed up the events. These mathematical formulas are small but their explanation is quite world class and they are used in various ways in mathematical calculations. These Vedic formulas not only increase our ability to calculate but also help us in solving problems of mathematics and algebra.      Vedic Maths, a system of mental arithmetic, originated in ancient India around 1500 BCE. It was based on 16 Sutras (aphorisms) and 13 Upasanas (sub-rules) developed by the ancient Indian sage, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Bharti Krishna Tirthaji Maharaj (Also known as Father of Vedic Mathematics). Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shri Bharti Krishna Tirthaji ( 14 March 1884 - 2 February 1960 )     Jagadgu...

Mastering Multiplication with Vedic Mathematics: Solving 111 x 111

Vedic mathematics, a system of mathematical techniques derived from ancient Indian scriptures, offers elegant and efficient methods for performing arithmetic operations. One of its most celebrated techniques is the *Urdhva Tiryak* sutra (Vertically and Crosswise), which simplifies the multiplication of numbers. In this article, we will use Vedic math to solve 111 X 111, showcasing the beauty and efficiency of this ancient method. Understanding the Problem Let’s solve  111 X 111, using Vedic mathematics. While the problem may appear straightforward, applying Vedic math can make the process more intuitive and systematic. Applying the Urdhva Tiryak Sutra The *Urdhva Tiryak* sutra is particularly effective for multiplying numbers. This sutra involves multiplying numbers by breaking them into parts and combining the results through vertical and crosswise operations. Here’s a step-by-step guide to solve 111 X 111 using this technique: Step-by-Step Solution 1. Write Down th...

VEDIC MATHS - A simplification of multiply

Unveiling the Vedic Math Magic: Solving 55 × 5 Vedic mathematics, a system derived from ancient Indian texts, offers fascinating techniques for simplifying complex arithmetic operations. One of its remarkable methods is the *Urdhva Tiryak* sutra (Vertically and Crosswise), which simplifies the multiplication process. In this article, we will use Vedic math to solve the multiplication of 55 by 5, demonstrating how this method can streamline even basic calculate. Understanding the Problem Let's start with the multiplication problem: 55 X 5 =??? At first glance, this might seem straightforward, but using Vedic math techniques can make it even more intuitive and quick. Applying the Urdhva Tiryak Sutra The *Urdhva Tiryak* sutra is one of the sixteen sutras (aphorisms) of Vedic mathematics and is particularly effective for multiplication. This sutra involves multiplying numbers by breaking them into parts and combining the results through vertical and crosswise operations. Here’s how we...
